MAKE CHRISTMAS CARDS/BOXES FOR MILITARY

Make Christmas cards/boxes and mail them to men and women serving in the military overseas. (Child Friendly Project).
Location: Creekside Community Church, 951 MacArthur Blvd. (Library and adult classroom next door)
Team Leader: Kristianne Koenen and Terry Teresi
Volunteers: 25 total (15 card making, 10 assembling boxes)
Supplies: Paper, pens, decorations provided. Bring scissors and any additional decorations you’d like to use. Also see donation list at the end of the projects for items needed in the boxes.

MAKE FLEECE BLANKETS AT JONES NURSING HOME

Make fleece blankets with residents at Jones Nursing Home (first 90 minutes). Then, we will have a time of singing and playing bingo with the residents (remaining 90 minutes).

Make fleece blankets at Creekside for San Leandro Healthcare residents (first 90 minutes). Then, we will drive to San Leandro Healthcare (1 mile away) and have a time of singing and playing bingo with the residents and pass out the blankets (remaining 90 minutes)

HANDS OF MERCY MISSION TRIP

Put homes together in Mexico on Dec 4th to 6th.
We will leave the Bay Area Friday December 4th and fly to San Diego, drive across the border and begin assembling the two loft homes. We’ll drive back to San Diego Sunday, Dec 6th then fly to the Bay Area.
