"Love San Leandro" is a joint effort by a number of San Leandro, CA churches to roll up our sleeves and serve our community out of our love for Jesus and for the people. This is a semi-annual event that takes place on a Saturday from 9-Noon and all are welcome to participate, whether affiliated with a church or not!

Project Descriptions

EDEN LODGE SENIOR HOUSING FACILITY -
(Full - Please sign up on another project)
Location: 400 Spring Lake Drive (corner of Spring Lake and Washington Avenue), San Leandro 94578
Project:  Teams of 2 will be washing sliding glass doors/windows and turning mattresses in apartments that have signed up to be served. Bring a bucket w/roll of paper towels, spray glass cleaner, work gloves, etc.
Where to meet:  Since Eden Lodge is gated, meet at 9 am on Spring Lake Drive in front of the pedestrian gate to the right of the auto gate. Arrive early to find street parking in the residential neighborhood.
Volunteers: 16 - this project is FAMILY FRIENDLY

CLEAN UP AT THE MARINA - Sign Me Up!
Location:  The San Leandro Marina at 1) the end of Monarch Bay Boulevard or 2) end of Lewelling Boulevard at Heron Bay.
Project:  City of San Leandro employees will meet volunteers at the above 2 locations and give directions as to where to clean up. Gloves, garbage/recycling bags, some picks, disinfectant wipes, and water will be provided. Volunteers will want to wear sturdy shoes that may get wet and sweatshirts as it can be windy.
Volunteers:  Unlimited - this project is FAMILY FRIENDLY

CLEAN UP SAN LEANDRO CREEK - Sign Me Up!
Location: Root Park, corner of Hays and East 14th. Free parking is available at City Hall.
Project: Cleaning the creek - gloves, garbage bags and dumpster provided.
Volunteers: 50 people needed.
